Before the Heavens
The creation legends of Zyllyön are as varied as the bubbles in sea foam reaching the shore. Many codices agree, however, upon one beginning: before time there was an absolute void, intangible and still.
Solitude erupted for no apparent reason. Strobing colors pierced the nothingness, and countless heavens occupied what had once been dead. Particles converged, solar winds opposed immense gravitational forces, and the first lights populated space.
Some of those lights awakened to will and were called Essences. They were incorporeal entities, able to cross distances and ages without leaving a trace. Among them was Arabel, powerful and wise, whose sudden wrath threatened all the others.
II
The Wrath of Arabel
Millions of Essences surrendered part of their power to Aradán so that he might contain him. The two clashed near the galactic core, and their struggle endured for eons.
Every blow cast off particles and tremendous sparks. According to the myth, one became Küny: the binary star whose blue-white light illuminated a system of still-barren worlds.
Aradán marveled at that nascent dance and turned his hands aside rather than destroy it. He longed to shape the most beautiful things in the universe, but first he had to survive Arabel.
Exhausted and unable to defeat one another, they finally halted the battle. Aradán offered his adversary a world where he could create without interference.
“You are fierce, Arabel. You wish to follow your own path. Dwell in one of the worlds we have kindled and create there whatever you desire.”
“You will grant me nothing. I shall create whatever world I please. If any of you dare enter it, I will crush you like carrion flies.”
III
The Forging of the World
Arabel departed and chose a barren sphere within Küny's system. Wounded and near collapse, he began to transform it. Aradán followed and, against every expectation, helped him complete the work.
No longer enemies but uneasy allies, they shaped the world they would call Zyllyön. The myth says they embodied themselves in humanoid forms, descended through its violet atmosphere, and first set bare feet upon its young grass.
They raised a great continent between two oceans, Micminasz in the west and Sandulansz in the east. Earthquakes folded the ground; mountain ranges, volcanoes, rivers, lagoons, bays, cliffs, peninsulas, isthmuses, fjords, and abyssal waters emerged.

Vakroy and Kriiba
While Aradán contemplated the landscapes, Arabel poured his fury into a violent, amorphous life-form. He twisted it so relentlessly that even its creator came to understand the torment he was causing. Too late to undo the harm, he abandoned it in chains beneath unending storms.
Elsewhere, Arabel created innumerable creatures marked by his anger. Aradán populated forests, waters, and plains with life born from wonder. His most ambitious creation was Vakroy: strong, bipedal, intelligent, and capable of engendering life.
“Be welcome, my beloved Vakroy,” Aradán is said to have spoken without voice or mouth.
“What is that?” Vakroy asked, pointing toward the mass screaming beneath the storms.
“That is Kriiba.”
“Why does he scream so? His cries hurt my ears.”
“I will tell you what you must do with him.”
Aradán left his instructions with Vakroy and returned to the cosmos. Arabel, at last emptied of his wrath, asked forgiveness and rejoined the Essences as well.
Both abandoned Zyllyön. Their most powerful creations, Vakroy and Kriiba, inherited the world—and the responsibility to wield a force that could preserve it or condemn it.
