I Long to Know You
I am captivated by you;I long to love you forever.I would leave behind all that I am,for I want only to know you.An unknown distance—perhaps that alone divides us.You cannot know how much I longto feel what fate has waiting for us.I will open my arms wideso that you may throw yourself into them.We will become one in an embracewhen at last I am with you.Then I will be able to feel you,to feel your warmth.I will be able to caress youfrom every side.I long to lie beside you,in a bed or on the sand;to kiss you with my eyes closeduntil the full moon rises.To enter the warm water,in the sea or beneath the rain;to kiss without restinguntil you feel my tongue is yours.I want to travel across your body,to memorize every beauty mark;to let you possess all of mineand make time itself stand still.These are the things I long to share with youwhen at last I find you.I want nothing more, with the moon as witness,than to take a shortcut through time and meet you on my path.
